How it All Started

A few years ago I was searching for budget friendly, fun family activity. Going out was always fun, but quickly added up in our pocketbooks. We needed something we could do at home together that wouldn't break the bank.
Enter Ohana Movie Nights! We would watch a dvd and theme our dinner to it, too. Disney films always worked - they were family friendly and plenty of them. But where to start? So many to choose from!
Enter my obsessive compulsiveness with doing things in order! We would start from the beginning of course, the letter A!
And the rest is history...

Hitting the Rewind Button!

After our first successful Ohana movie night, I quickly realized that I had forgotten about numbers! And sure enough, there was a Disney movie that started with 1. Well actually, a 101 to be exact! Once I had discovered my "error" there was no going back.

101 Dalmatians was another one of those Disney classics that you've seen as a kid but probably don't remember a thing from. I was ready to go down nostalgia lane, only to discover that there was a live action version made a few years back. I didn't want to see it, but I was overruled 2 to 1. What's a wife to do...
When I started research on the menu, I was surprised to find that there were a lot of puppy/dog party themes out there, so finding inspiration wasn't difficult at all. I even copied one ladies recipe for puppy bones (hot dogs wrapped with Pillsbury dough.) Our "spotted" tomato salad was more like peppered tomatoes (same diff!) And chocolate chip cookies.. well, they pretty much come spotted. Simple menu!
